REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC)
Protecting Property Rights. Supporting Homeownership. Strengthening Our Local Voice.
The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) helps ensure the real estate profession — and the homeowners we serve — have a strong voice in government. RPAC is strictly bipartisan, supporting candidates based on their position on housing and property rights — not political party affiliation. In fact, recent NAR-supported contributions have been evenly balanced between Democratic and Republican candidates.
Simply put: We’re not Democrat or Republican — we’re the REALTOR® Party.
Through voluntary investments, RPAC supports candidates and public policies that promote property ownership, housing opportunity, and a healthy real estate market.
At DCAR, RPAC plays an important role in supporting local advocacy efforts that directly impact our members, clients, and communities here in Dutchess County.

Why RPAC Matters Locally
Decisions made at the local and state level affect:
-
Property taxes and housing affordability
-
Land use, zoning, and development policies
-
Housing supply and infrastructure planning
-
Rental regulations and property rights
-
The overall strength of our housing market
RPAC helps ensure REALTORS® are part of those conversations — not reacting after decisions are already made.
Supporting Advocacy at Every Level
RPAC works alongside DCAR’s advocacy efforts locally while also supporting broader initiatives through:
-
New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) advocacy
-
National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) policy leadership

Together, these efforts help protect both our profession and the communities we serve.
