Membership Update
Dear Members:
Here's an update on Membership news! We had a successful focus group at our Breakfast on February 7th. Wonderful ideas and suggestions were made by the 21 brokers and agents who attended. We'll be having another one of these focus groups in September. Please watch for it in our DCAR Newsletter.
We also had a terrific GMM REALTOR Recognition luncheon on March 18th. Our NYSAR President, Linda Page, updated us on NYSAR news, and speakers from Ackerman Quinn/Oppenheimer Funds gave us useful information on Retirement Savings.
We have our upcoming Home Show on Saturday, March 29th from 10am to 6pm at the Poughkeepsie Plaza on Route 9. If you are not participating please come and visit us! KISS FM 96.1 will be there from 11am to 1pm, there will also be a clown, face painting and balloon animals. A Super Prize of $150 shopping spree to the Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall will be awarded and a Grand Prize of 8 day/7 night vacation to a 4 star condo, with over 600 locations worldwide, will go to a very fortunate winner. Note: taxes and transportation will be paid by the winner.
April 22nd is our Spring Mixer! We've lowered the price to $10 per person for your enjoyment. Please register online. River Station will be the venue, again, this year. Let's all sign up and make it even more enjoyable this year!
On May 20th we will be having our yearly GMM meeting at Christo's (McCann Golf Course) on Wilbur Boulevard in Poughkeepsie. The Links in Unionvale has been wonderful in the past but a difficult location for many. We are looking to centralize our meetings so that all can attend. This meeting will be an enjoyable "working lunch" in that we will have members of our Association who can answer any real estate or education questions by our members. Some in-depth discussions will assist both newer REALTOR members, and some of us veteran folks, on questions that come up in our daily business with the public and with our education courses.
