Dear Members:

As we draw close to the end of the year we are grateful for the support our members and affiliates have given to our GMM meetings.  In a year where we are working hard to overcome the challenges of the real estate market, let’s keep in mind we are still an association and should support one another within DCAR by our attendance at all the GMM meetings.

It’s what makes us strong and united in our goals. Our last meeting was on October 21^st with our Elections for 2009. As you know, the slate was defeated and we will be having another election in the very near future. You will be notified when that will take place. The Poughkeepsie Grand did a lovely job with our breakfast and we had a good turnout.

On November 18^th we will be holding our DCAR Holiday Luncheon at

Christo’s in Poughkeepsie. Member Price will be $25.00 – Early bird sign up (before 11/10/08) will be $20.00. Non-Member Price $30.00. We request members in attending that you sign up on line. This is our last membership function and a good time is always had by all each year. It’s the one time we can come together with our affiliates and have an enjoyable time without encumbrances. Please join us this year for fun, prizes and a great lunch. We look forward to seeing you there!

Looking ahead: January 15^th, 2009 will be our Installation Dinner for our incoming President, President Elect and with some hard and efficient work a slate of officers for 2009. Venue, time and costs will be

provided before the end of the year.

Thank you to all for your continued support. I ask that you keep uppermost in your mind that we are an association and board who support our members and are keeping your best interests in mind.
