EDUCATION INFORMATION

DCAR SNOW POLICY FOR CLASSES: If Arlington Central School District has a delay DCAR classes are STILL ON.  If Arlington Schools are cancelled then DCAR classes are cancelled.  DCAR night classes will correspond with the BOCES Night Class snow schedule.  If ANY DCAR classes are cancelled the hours MUST be made up at the end of the course.

REMINDERS:   

• As of July 1 ,2008, per Department of State, any licensed sales agent who would like to get their Broker's license, and has not done so within 8 years of getting their Salespersons license, MUST retake the Salespersons Qualifying Course.  Note: All managers must be brokers by July 1, 2008. 
• As a REALTOR it is mandatory that you take Code of Ethics Training within the first 120 days of associating with a REALTOR office.  If you are an existing member, make sure that you have completed your Code of Ethics training for renewal during this cycle.  The current cycle began January 1, 2005 and runs until December 31, 2008.

The term REALTOR is a registered mark.  It refers only to those licensed real estate brokers and salespersons who hold membership in a REALTOR organization such as ours, who agree to be held accountable to a strict Code of Ethics, and who also agree to periodic ethics education and other professional instruction that is required by the Board.  Click here to find a REALTOR or REALTOR Office.

About the Dutchess County Association of REALTORS: The Dutchess County Association of REALTORS (DCAR) was formed by a handful of real estate brokers in 1930 and has since grown to be one of the largest associations of REALTORS in New York State with almost 1,200 members.  The association services its members and the public with education courses, legal updates and legislative matters on a national, state and local level.  The association has been a strong voice for home ownership for all in the Dutchess County area.

Events: As a reminder, all events for DCAR must be registered for PRIOR to the event date.  Registration deadlines are final, walk-ins will not be permitted.  We do this in order to ensure all members have amble & equal opportunity to attend any and all of our events.  Pre-registration, and payment in full, is necessary so that your place will be secured at the event venue.
